At the central paved square of the village you can admire the unique view to the Aegean Sea, and to get cooler in the fountain of the square, where cool water spurts from the rocks.
The name of the village "Kalamaki" comes from the beach of the same name, which is located in a distance of 2km, while the name "Propan" comes from the local stone of Pelion (Propan), which is used in the construction of the cobbles of Pelion and the Monasteries of the Mount Athos.
