Pelion Festivals
The geographical position, the dense forests, the running waters, the fertile land, the mountainous landscape, the capability if transporting goods via the sea, the faith and the religion created the “cultural and religious miracle” of the villages of Pelion. Pelion has kept its traditions to a grade extent, and therefore a wide variety of festivals takes place in its village all the year.

July | Makrinitsa | Celebration of May. Inspired by the Dionysian worship, referring to the rebirth of nature and life. | |
Early July | Ano Lechonia | Feast of Agioi Anargiroi that constitutes the opening of the series cultural events,known as “The Lechonitika”. Exhibitions of flowers, concerts and theatrical performances are included in the festival. | |

Early September | Zagora | "Apple Festival", a feast with traditional delicacies and folk music, organized by the Cooperative of Women of Zagora. | |
2nd September | Kissos | Feast of Agios Efstathios, with traditional music and dance, at the central square of the village. | |
5th & 6th September | Paltsi | Feast of Agioi Taxiarches, with folk music and dance. | |
